When did takeout food morph into takeaway?

To me just because we are suffering a pandemic it’s still takeout.  Is that what they call Old School? Am I not With It!

Don’t we still just pull up and take It out of the store?

Then there’s the question as to what It is. To me it’s food that we eat when I bring it home.  
Then there’s the question as to where and what’s the best take out (or takeaway)?
