Eating jelly donuts is one of the customs that makes Hanukah what it is. My friend related the following story. Bob was seeing some people for the lighting of the first candle. He thought it would be nice to bring donuts. He called and ordered two dozen from the bakery and would pick them up on the way. With a credit card, it was done.
Another woman who deserves more attention than she has thusfar received. From the NY Times:

My husband and I did not watch Game of Thrones when it began airing. For years my daughter has been telling my husband and I that we were really missing out, that we would love it. After my other daughter got married her husband joined in, also telling us that we would love it.  
December. Last month of the year...Hannukah, Christmas, Kwanza, Boxing Day, New Years Eve, National Cookie Day (December 4th) and some very important birthdays are celebrated this month :-)   Here are some interesting facts I've uncovered:
I go to the gym twice a week and in doing so I have observed a number of those you might call gym rats. A gym rat is someone who spends much leisure time working out in the gymnasium.
Have you ever noticed that people tend to sit at the same seat? This phenomenon was mentioned at a recent Gotham meeting. Members just sat at their “regular” seats. Same perspective of the room and others.  No judgment. Simple observation. I thought about this phenomenon for a while and, a few days later, was confronted by it and the discomfort caused by a change of seating.
