As this weekend began, we just returned from visiting mom in Florida. The visit includes helping mom some and catching up with friends who relocated there and/ or have places there. I also enjoy checking out their living spaces and musing about what we might consider if we took the full or partial-time plunge. I certainly enjoy the outdoor pool and Shelly enjoys the gym in the clubhouse across the road.
Another strange but true story that made me just shake my head. An Australian brewery is mixing up a unique beverage for an upcoming festival: a beer brewed using yeast from belly button lint.
The 7 Cent Brewery in Victoria announced on its website that tin a upcoming beer festival they will debut Belly Button Beer, which is brewed using belly button fluff from brewers.

Another fall from grace. Another moment to reflect upon those who have been in positions of power, or positions of public admiration and fallen. Dennis Hastert, former Speaker of the House of Representatives and second in succession for the presidency, was sentenced to more than one year in prison for violating banking laws in a hush money scheme to cover-up alleged sexual abuses.
Recently the entertainment news has been full of Beyonce's film, Lemonade, which tells the story of Jay Z's unfaithfulness, her feelings and the decision to stay with him. Fairly interesting stuff done in a very artistic way.
Thats not the lemonade I'm writing about today. My lemonade story does involve male philandering, but the heart of the story is quite different.
With the untimely passing of Prince this week, many musicians have been interviewed as to how he influenced their career and music. What I find most impressive, however, are the numerous lay people who are speaking out about how his lyrics and music impacted them.
We did not host this year. We always hosted; tradition of sorts, and not just for Passover.
Noneless, we joined my good friend Joshua for the seder he hosted with his wife Linda; I found myself rather relaxed with no carving and other related duties; we enjoyed the company and the food.
