When I offered to fill in for your regular Sunday Blogger I told him that I would adhere to the usual musical themed post.
In light of the response to my blog last week, I'm focussing on one of the 15.
You can't change people
You can guide, support, and offer advice, but real change only happens when someone is willing to put in the effort. No matter how much you want to help, if a person isn't ready to make changes, there's nothing you can do. (And we all know someone who fits this description)
Instead of trying to force someone into action, be there when they are ready to change and offer your support.
On Labor Day we hosted a family gathering and it was the perfect opportunity for Batting Practice.
I thought it would be a simple thing. The rear windshield wiper blade was gone. Upon inspection, it looked like the clip was broken, but I couldn’t tell whether it was simple replacement or if the bracket was damaged.I called the service department in the hope that I could stop by and have someone take a quick look and assess the situation.
As we close out the hot months, we all still need cold libations with great friends that we have made through networking connections.

Summer has come and gone. Its always so fast. Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day and its over. We have one more important day to look forward to to hold onto the last days of summer. The Sept 9th Gotham golf outing. Its the best day of the year for our family. I hope to see everyone there!
When each of my children started college, I joined the school’s parent Facebook page. I always found the page to be full of useful information and mostly, a supportive community of parents trying to help their children have the best experience they could in school.
During the pandemic shut-down I used the time at home to get my body in shape. I awoke everyday at my usual time. Since I did not have to give myself an additional forty-five minutes to drive to work, I used the time to exercise.
For years I have walked on the treadmill approximately three times a week for thirty to forty minutes in the morning. That habit continued during the shut down.
