Daylight Savings

The other day, we were out doing some gardening. It was 7 p.m. and the sun was still shining with glorious light before sunset.
I was thinking how nice it was to have that time in daylight, after coming home from the office to be outside.
And I thought about the current discussions about making “Daylight Savings” permanent.
How nice, I thought. Then I thought about the cold of winter and wondered about the “added” daylight at the end of the day. And the darkness in the morning.
It made me think that the current system is okay. Yet, the discussion goes on and changes may be coming.
I trust we’ll adapt. But I’m fine the way things are.
