Sunday night we celebrated the wedding of a close friend's daughter.  Our families have been friends since the bride and my daughter met in kindergarten.  That's a long time.  I literally watched this young woman grow up.
My doctor urged me several years ago to log into and use the patient portal with his office. Not being techno savvy, I was hesitant to do so. But, after a lot of urging from him I did.
Sometimes life is a struggle. We are presented with issues that require us to think about, fix, and move on, yet encounter more issues. Or our technology is not working correctly, which prohibits you from doing anything.   It's been one of those weeks for me. After spending some time away, it has jolted me back. It seemed almost every task I needed to take care of took at least twice as long and sometimes three times as long. Even the simplest thing, which normally would take about ten minutes, took 3 hours.
Joanne and I have 2 sons and 4 grandchildren and in the past weeks we have hit the Familial Lottery! In that period Grandkids Ruby, Maggie and Jackson visited us in Key West in a whirlwind of eating, sunning, talking, swimming, shopping, laughing, biking, drinking, socializing, chilling, showing off and front porch sitting.  I know I've gained at least 5 pounds striving to keep pace.   Jackson remarked that we were together in their short visit more than all the past 2 years.
There’s a woman at one of the beach-side shops.
So, we all take vacations, or at least we all SHOULD take vacations, but I digress.... Here are a few questions for you: What is the longest vacation you have taken? What did you do to prepare your office prior to leaving? How long did it take upon your return to normalize your work routine and hours again?
Did you watch the Oscars?  I watched some, frankly, dozing in and out.
